Panels – Nut and Bolt Fasteners – Holes Pre-Punched on 6” Centers for Sure Panel Alignment Panels are fabricated from 18-gauge prime quality G-90 galvanized steel. Panels are fastened together with nuts and bolts for maximum rigidity and are to be sealed with the provided caulk following assembly.

LED Illumination – 10 LED Light Fixtures – 7,500 Lumens Each. Lighting is provided by 48” long, LED type fixtures. All fixtures are ETL listed and approved for their intended use and placement. Fixtures are supplied to accept either 120V or 277V power.

Automotive Paint Booth Basics

Paint booths are a series of pre-fabricated panels with flanges that fasten together. There are 2 ways to do this, sheet metal screws or nuts and bolts put through CNC holes pre-punched on the panel flanges on 6 inch centers. Nuts and bolts are accepted as the industry standard for quality booths. Nuts and bolts with pre-punched holes allow for accurate panel alignment, ease of assembly, and overall strength of the structure.

A paint booth is a metal enclosure with air moving through it. Single skin booths work just as well as double skin booths. Double skin booths must be assembled by factory trained and authorized personnel. They are roughly twice the cost of a single skin booth. They do not perform any better than a single skin booth.

Automotive Paint Booth Airflow

Crossdraft Airflow: Air enters the paint booth through the filtered front doors. The clean filtered air flows through the work area and is pulled through the filtered exhaust chamber at the rear of the booth by an exhaust fan.

Semi Downdraft / Modified Downdraft Airflow: The air makeup unit pushes air into the paint booth through the filtered intake plenum on top of the booth above the front doors. The clean filtered air flows through the work area and is pulled through the filtered exhaust chamber at the rear of the booth by an exhaust fan.

Side Downdraft Airflow: The air makeup unit pushes air into the paint booth through the filtered intake plenum on top of the booth. The clean filtered air flows through the work area and is pulled through the filtered exhaust chambers at floor level in the side walls of the booth by an exhaust fans.

Pit Downdraft Airflow: The air makeup unit pushes air into the paint booth through the filtered intake plenum on top of the booth. The clean filtered air flows through the work area and is pulled through the filtered exhaust chambers in the floor of the booth by an exhaust fan.

VAV - Variable Air Volume Control System

Our variable air volume control systems give you precise control over the air flow when you are painting, flashing, and curing. This allows you to adjust for different types of paint ( solvent based, water based ), different sized pieces of work ( Go-Cart - Sprinter Van ), and different outside air conditions ( -10° F and 5% humidity - +95° F and 85% humidity ). The higher the humidity the greater the air flow required to efficiently flash or cure your paints.

Different tasks and different conditions require different airflow for optimum efficiency and quality. We offer the ability to flash and cure at 100% airflow and high temperatures. We can provide 100% airflow and a 120° F temperature rise over the outside air temperature. If it is 20° F outside our system can provide 100% airflow at 140° F. Most systems in the industry can only provide these temperature rises at 50% air flow.

We use special gas valving and controls coupled with a variable frequency drive for the air makeup unit motor to properly control airflow volume. Many use just a damper and “choke” off the airflow while the motor and gas are still running at 100%. Not efficient and not safe.

This system allows you to control how much air is used by the air make-up unit allowing you to control operational costs as well. System includes Variable Frequency Drives for both intake and exhaust volume control. Includes Programmable Digital Control Panel.

AB - Automatic Booth Pressure Balancing

The Automatic Balancing System speeds up or slows down the exhaust fan to keep the pressure balanced in the booth and the airflow at a proper speed. Set the pressure desired in the booth and the system will automatically adjust the speed of the exhaust fan to maintain the desired preset pressure.
