Automotive Paint Booths

Paint Booth Basics:

All single skin paint booths are basically the same. Ours included. There are several manufacturers in the United States. Most all of the booths come from this small group of manufacturers. The air makeup systems are different however. A paint booth only has one moving part, the exhaust fan which is driven by a motor. An air makeup unit only needs to communicate with that one item. Our air makeup systems work with any brand, make, or model of paint booth. Since the air makeup system is the only technical part of your paint booth package it is always nice to have local service if you have technical problems. We provide nationwide service through 100's of local service technicians located across the entire United States. Our systems are supplied by a company that has been making them for over 45 years. We understand that it is always nice to save $2,000 or $3,000 on equipment expenditures. Find your best deal on a paint booth wherever you can, we assure you that we will provide the best quality and the best price on an air makeup unit.

Paint booths are very simple items. Any sheet metal shop in the world can fabricate a paint booth. Paint booth manufacturers can merely produce them more cost efficiently because of the high volume of material and parts they purchase. Paint booths are a series of pre-fabricated panels with flanges that fasten together, There are 2 ways to do this, sheet metal screws or nuts and bolts put through CNC holes pre-punched on the panel flanges on 6 inch centers. Nuts and bolts are accepted as the industry standard for quality booths. Nuts and bolts with the pre-punched holes allow for accurate panel alignment, ease of assembly, and overall strength of the structure.

In the automotive paint booth market you also have the choice between single skin booths or double skin booths. A paint booth is a pre-fabricated sheet metal enclosure with air moving through it. Single skin booths work just as well as double skin booths. The double skin booths must be assembled by factory trained and authorized personel. They are roughly twice the cost of a single skin booth. They do look nicer, but they do not perform any better than a single skin booth. You will find basic specifications on our booths on each booth description. We can provide literally any option or variation you want.

Code Compliance:
• All of our paint booths are designed to meet or exceed the requirements and recommendations of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Standard Number 33, as well as the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) CFR 29.1910.107 covering the operation and construction of spray booths.

Warranty:
• AEI Paint Booths warrants to buyer that the equipment is to be free from defects of materials or workmanship under normal use and maintenance for a period of one year.

Crossdraft: $8,600

Air is pulled into the booth through the filtered front doors of the booth. The clean air flows through the work area and exits through the exhaust chamber at the rear of the booth.

We provide high quality booths at a fair price. We do not cut corners when making our booths. Our booths assemble with nuts and bolts through CNC prepunched holes for a sure fit, sure alignment, and easy assembly. Standard Equipment Includes Inside Access Light Fixtures with Tubes, 10 Gauge Booth Support Memebers for Strength and Rigidity, Solenoid Lock Out Valve for Paint Gun, and a Manometer to Monitor Exhaust Filters. Our booths are proudly made in the United States and are built tough to last in busy work environments. Please contact us and we will send you a detailed quote with all specifications.

Construction Features:

Panels – Nut and Bolt – Holes Pre-Punched on 6” Centers for Sure Panel Alignment:
• Panels are fabricated from 18-gauge prime quality G-90 galvanized steel. Panels are fastened together with 5/16” nuts and bolts for maximum rigidity and ease of assembly. Holes are precision CNC punched on 6” centers, this leads to true panel alignment and rigidity over time compared to using sheet metals screws. It costs us more to CNC punch the holes but you will appreciate it as you assemble your booth and as time passes. Sheet metal screws tend to loosen over time, they also require using “C” clamps to attempt to align the panels. Pre-punched holes assure true panel alignment.

Illumination - 10 Light Fixtures:
• Lighting is provided by 48” long, 4-tube, 32 watt, T-8, fluorescent type fixtures. All fixtures are ETL listed and approved for their intended use and placement. Fixtures are supplied with dual ballasts to accept either 120V or 277V power. Ballasts carry a 5 year limited warranty.

Filtration:
• Intake air filters: Rated by UL as Class 2 and are EPA registered as environmentally safe. Filters are self-supporting in an internal frame sized 20'' x 20'' x 1''. One set of filters will be supplied
• Exhaust air filters are fiberglass paint arrestor pads made specifically for the collection of paint over spray. These filters are UL rated as Class 2. A filter holding grid is provided for each filter cell. This unit is provided with one set of filters and one manometer.

Exhaust – 12,600 C.F.M. Standard:
• Tube axial type duct fan(s) specifically designed and constructed for use in paint spray booths and similar applications is provided for exhaust. A precision balanced, fabricated, aluminum non-sparking fan blade moves the air through the fan. Bearings are permanently lubricated and mounted in rubber isolators for smooth operation. The motor, drive and bearings are isolated from the exhaust air stream. This unit will utilize two (2) 24'' diameter fan driven by a 3 HP motor (208/230/460V/3PH/60HZ), operating at 12,600 SCFM at ½'' static pressure.

Product Doors:
• One (1) set of tri-fold product entry doors with windows shall be provided. The doors are skinned with an 18 Ga. galvanized steel sheet, sealed to the frame, and welded in place. These doors are provided with a closed cell foam rubber weather stripping seal about the perimeter and a neoprene rubber sweep seal at the threshold. Deluxe TTV-20 - $17,000

Heat, Flash, Cure, VAV, AB

Cut Energy Cost Up to 50%

Most Productive and Energy Efficient System

VAV - Variable Airflow Control System:

Our variable airflow control systems give you precise control over the air flow when you are painting, flashing, and curing. This allows you to adjust for different types of paint ( solvent based, water based ), different sized pieces of work ( Go-Cart - SUV ), and different outside air conditions ( -10 Degrees and 5% humidity -  +95 Degrees and 75% humidity ). Different tasks and different conditions require different airflow for optimum efficiency and quality. We offer the ability to flash and cure at 100% airflow and high temperatures. We can provide 100% airflow and a 120 Degree temperature rise over the outside air temperature. If it is 20 Degrees outside our system can provide 100% airflow at 140 Degrees.

AB - Automatic Booth Pressure Balancing:

No more need for constantly adjusting the exhaust fan as the exhaust filters load up with paint. The Automatic Balancing System speeds up the exhaust fan to keep the pressure balanced in the booth and the airflow at a proper speed. Set the pressure desired in the booth and the system through the readings on the photohelic booth cabin pressure sensor will automatically adjust the speed of the exhaust fan to maintain the desired preset pressure.

Spray Mode Energy Conservation Mode:

Automatically slows the air makeup system down when the spray gun is not being used. Factory set at 5 minutes, field adjustable. Saves Energy
